Homecoming
A Retreat for Mothers
Welcome home
A sacred retreat for mothers to reconnect, honor, and celebrate the fullness of who they are—both within and beyond motherhood.
The Essence
Motherhood is a sacred journey. As the keepers of life’s rhythms, mothers hold immense magic, yet the daily demands often leave little room to honor their individuality. Homecoming is your invitation to step away from the noise and return to yourself.
Through intentional practices, reflection, and the power of community, this retreat offers you the opportunity to:
Honor your sacred role as a mother and as an individual.
Acknowledge the layers of your identity—both seen and unseen.
Witness your journey in a supportive, nurturing circle.
Celebrate your beauty, strength, and wholeness as a multifaceted being.
Reconnecting Through Ritual
Ritual is a profound bridge—a way to honor the sacred within yourself and your life. It creates space for transformation, reflection, and healing.
As Clarissa Pinkola Estés writes:
“Ritual is one of the ways we can remember who we are. It gives shape to what has been invisible and creates a bridge between the conscious and the unconscious.”
At Homecoming, we will use ritual to honor the rhythms of life, celebrate our shared journeys, and connect with our truest selves.
Pilates: Strengthen from Within
Pilates at Homecoming offers more than physical movement—it’s a pathway to emotional resilience and self-discovery:
Draw inward and fortify your core strength.
Move from reactive living to intentional, freedom-filled action.
Build resilience and reconnect with your sense of agency.
As Joseph Pilates himself said:
“Change happens through movement, and movement heals.”
This practice will help you embody both the physical and emotional transformation central to this retreat.
Exploring the Duality of Motherhood
Motherhood reshapes us in profound ways, yet it can often leave us asking: Who am I beyond this role? At Homecoming, we hold space for both truths:
To honor the magic you bring as a mother—the nurturer, guide, and keeper of life’s rhythms.
To rediscover and reclaim the vibrant, evolving self that exists beyond motherhood.
Adrienne Rich reminds us:
“The most important thing one woman can do for another is to illuminate and expand her sense of actual possibilities.”
Together, we’ll explore these possibilities, reimagining your path forward with intention and joy.
What You’ll Experience at Homecoming
Ritual and Reflection: Guided practices to ground, honor, and celebrate your journey.
Pilates: Movements that strengthen, heal, and fortify your sense of self.
Creative Expression: Reignite your spark through art, writing, and other expressive practices that nourish your soul.
Community Connection: Be witnessed, supported, and celebrated by women who see and honor your story.
As Starhawk reminds us:
“Ritual is the act of setting time and space aside to acknowledge and celebrate what is sacred in our lives.”
This is your time to pause, reflect, and create a sacred space for yourself.
A Threshold to Transformation
Homecoming is more than a retreat—it’s a threshold. This journey will prepare you to step back into your life both the same and profoundly changed:
Fortified in your role as a mother.
Reconnected with your inner wisdom.
Celebrated as the vibrant, sacred individual you are.
Audre Lorde said it best:
“Caring for myself is not self-indulgence, it is self-preservation, and that is an act of political warfare.”
This is your Homecoming.
Rediscover your magic.
Reclaim your freedom.
Return to yourself.

Meet your hosts:
Kerry
Kerry Ingram is the founder of Community Supported Postpartum whose mission is to build ecosystems of care one community at a time. She contributes to this vision by teaching folks all over the world how to create local parent and baby groups that get parents out of isolation and into a web of support and care.
Kerry is a parent (both biological and foster), an early childhood educator (22 years), a postpartum doula, with additional education in women and gender studies (SUNY Oswego), and maternal mental health care (PSI). She has been facilitating local parent and baby groups for over twelve years. She teaches others worldwide with her Village Tenders course and curriculum on how to create their own groups. She also has online courses and coaching for parents of younger children that help parents create more ease and joy and less nagging in day- to-day life.
Kerry has been immersed in women’s health and family wellness for over twenty years. With Liberal Arts education in Women’s Studies, Maternal Mental Health, Early Childhood Education and Postpartum Caregiving, she recently completed her Pilates training and is nearly complete in her Pilates for pregnant and postpartum parents certification.
Reena
Reena Burton is deeply called to hold sacred space during life’s transitions and rites of passage. These moments of change, often accompanied by grief for what was and anxiety for what lies ahead, can feel isolating, overwhelming, and painful. Yet, when held within a sacred and loving container, these experiences have the potential to foster profound growth and renewal.
With a strong foundation of skills and gifts, Reena has cultivated the capacity to hold these transformational spaces with reverence and grace. In our modern culture, we have lost touch with honoring many of life’s holy transitions, and the few traditions we have retained are often overshadowed by consumerism and superficiality. Reena believes that when we are lovingly supported through times of intense change, joy, and grief, we emerge more balanced, empowered, and peaceful.
Reena’s calling to serve as a spiritual support began at a young age within a thriving and progressive spiritual community. This formative experience instilled in her a deep reverence for the spiritual journey and inspired her to seek ways to honor life’s sacred moments. Her path has been shaped by:
Being supported by spiritual mentors through life transitions.
Traveling and learning global cultural traditions around rites of passage.
Attending seminary and working within spiritual organizations and communities.
Mentoring young people through tender transitions.
Planning a wedding ceremony rich in ritual and depth.
Giving birth at home and navigating life as a mother to a high-needs child.
Training and volunteering as a doula.
Participating in a womens circle to hold space and lead rituals for change and growth.
Training as a priestess with the Woman Rising school, where she learned the sacred cycles and wisdom of nature.
Becoming certified in ritual facilitation, gaining the tools to create meaningful ceremonies in any setting.
Supporting both of her parents through their illnesses and end-of-life journeys.
These experiences have helped form Reena’s understanding of how to honor and hold sacred space during life’s most vulnerable and transformational moments. It is her deepest joy and privilege to walk alongside others with reverence during these holy times.
